At just 15 years old, Mary Falconer has become one of the UK’s most exciting young climbers. In 2025 alone, she claimed two National Championship titles, Scottish Bouldering Champion and Irish Lead Champion, along with 16 gold medals, multiple silvers, and podiums across the UK and Ireland.
Mary’s success comes from relentless dedication, countless hours of training, travel, and competition preparation, all balanced with her school commitments. But the pathway to elite climbing is entirely self-funded. International competitions across Europe, coaching, equipment, training facilities, travel, accommodation, and nutrition together create a level of expense that far exceeds what most young athletes can sustain alone.
